Best Snowboard Bindings
Choosing the best snowboard bindings for you isn’t as tricky as buying snowboard boots, but there is a fair bit to keep in mind when making the choice.
Here are our pointers:
Are You Compatible - Check that the snowboard boots you have just bought will fit nicely with the snowboard bindings you are looking at. Each different snowboard manufacturer makes their snowboard bindings and boots differently to other manufacturers. So whether you are looking to buy Burton snowboard bindings, Forum snowboard bindings or Union snowboard bindings there will be some differences when you come to strapping in.
We’d suggest either head into a UK snowboard shop like our well stocked new one and we’ll give you the advice you need and help you with fitting. Or check out all our UK snowboard bindings online and get in contact with us by phone or email and we’ll tell you if your snowboard boots fit nicely with the snowboard bindings you have your eye on.
Size Matters - You need to be able to easily adjust the straps without leaving too much strap on either side of the binding. Your snowboard boots need to totally fill the binding. Your boots will overhang, but not too much. If you really struggle to get your boot into the binding then you need to look again. Get your boots on, step in and tighten those straps. You want a balance between not feeling the straps, and not being able to move your boot. If you have that balance then you are sorted.
Well Adjusted - If you opt for the right snowboard bindings then it should allow plenty of adjustments. This is ideal for when you setup before you ride. But you will only really know if the adjustments are good, once you’ve taken them out on the slopes. This is when it comes in handy if the snowboard bindings are easy to adjust- you don’t want to call it a day after the first run down because you don’t have your entire tool box with you. So check how easy it is to adjust before you ride and invest in a snowboard tool.
Round Peg Square Hole - Some snowboards only have 3 holes for binding. Most have 4. So make sure that the base plate where you screw it in has compatible screw hole placements. Check with us at our UK snowboarding shop or our online snowboarding shop before you buy if you are in doubt.
The Price Is Right - Check out our big range of snowboard bindings in our UK Snowboard Shop and in our online store. Our prices are so good it’s a constant snowboard bindings sale. And remember any problems, just drop us an email or come see us on facebook and we’ll help you out.
