| On Friday 30th March 2012, the crew at Boarders Boards took over Park Strife at SNO!zone Milton Keynes for an epic mashup of everything you could possibly ask for on a Friday night, in the form of Boarders Boards Jam Session.Word- Kaz Willmer Photos- Jools Smith |
| A massive park setup, complete with plenty of rails and boxes, a massive kicker, some of the UK’s top dome riders, and an ocean of freebies, were just the groundwork for an epic night, all kept pumping to the soundtrack of the Skullcandy DJ’s.Over 50 riders battled it out on the huge array of features, with Mikee Cee, Ash from Moog Royale and Rowan B on hand to pick the best of the crop, sending the top riders into the 9pm finals, and picking out the top three guys and top three girls to win not only tonnes of prizes, but also a jar of Boarders Boards’ finest preserve!
For the girls it was Becky Menday who showed us how it was done, and walked home with the £200 prize cheque, with Cerys Allen close behind in second place and Jade Walsh in third.  Boarders Boards 1st Place girls |

For the boys, it was Gazza Andrews in first, with Calum Paton in second and Billy Nelson in third place. Prizes were also in the mitts of Paul Edwards, Best Unsponsored rider of the night, and Joe Grace for Best Bail.

But whether you were top or not, the whole jam was an immense night for everyone there as the atmosphere was super chilled and noone felt pressured to go big if they didn’t want to. The setup was perfect for riders of all levels, and with so many freebies thrown out, the whole SNO!zone was like a looted pirate ship where everyone was a winner!
What’s more, APO snowboards were also on hand with the latest sticks to test, and sponsors provided plenty of tees and hoodies to keep everyone happy – the only challenge was making it over the features while still clutching your loot.
The Boarders Boards Jam session was a massive success and an awesome opportunity for riders from other domes around the country to come together and show what they’re made of.
The organisers got everything right, down to the little detail of free tea at the bottom of the slopes! The SNO!zone MK team built an awesome park and the whole combo of riding, tunes and freebies meant everyone left more than stoked.
Big shoutout to Boarders Boards for an immense night, as well as to Moog Royale, Park, APO, Skullcandy and Sterling Socks, and anyone else who made the night so rad – see you all next year!
