Best Snowboard Boots
So you’ve settled on a sweet looking snowboard. You’ve got your eye on some bling snowboard bindings. And you’ve found a seriously fly snowboard jacket and pair of snowboard pants. But you still haven’t got the most crucial part – choosing the best snowboard boots.
All that other stuff will get you the attention, but the fit, the stiffness and the warmth of your snowboard boots is what going to have you lovin' the pow or not.
So a few pointers for buying your first pair of snowboard boots:
First Timer - If it’s your first time buying, ideally head into a lovely UK snowboard shop like ours. We’ll give you the advice you need and check the fit is all good.
Been There Before - If you’ve bought before, then check out a quality online snowboard seller. You’re already in the right place. We’ve got snowboard boots aplenty in our online snowboard store.
Put A Sock In It - Get some quality snowboarding socks. Your old football socks aren’t going to cut it when you find yourself waist deep in powder and a -30 windchill is blowing off the top of the mountain.
Well Fit - Snowboard boots should fit snug. The tips of your toes should just brush the front of the boot. You should have very little if any heel lift. Remember boot liners will get thinner over time. So you can probably go for a snowboard boot half a size smaller than your regular skate shoes or trainers. But make sure it’s comfortable.
Lace Up - When it comes to lacing, you can choose between some of the modern techy speed lacing boots and the more traditional normal style of lacing. Both have pro’s and con’s. Traditional are slower, but you can replace them yourself. High speed ones are, well, high speed, but can be more complicated to fix if you have a boot malfunction in the mountains.
Too stiff - Raise your foot off the ground and try to flex your ankle as if you were pressing the accelerator on a car. If it’s too stiff, you won’t get enough ankle flex and your riding will suffer.
How much - Check out our store, where we have everything from ridiculously cheap UK snowboard boots, to the latest and most advanced ones.
